Charley under the cherry blossoms. Charley stopped by to check out the progress of the flowers on his favorite cherry trees. Last week they were buds, but now they are beginning to bloom. A lot of other people and dogs were out walking under the trees, taking photos, and sitting in the grass sunning and picnicking. It was a beautiful Spring day and everyone seemed to be smiling and in a good mood. Afterwards, Charley stopped to buy a hot dog. While he sat in the shade under a tree eating lunch, several of his doggie pals walked by and stopped to say hello and play. This is one of Charley’s favorite times of year.

Charley is super-exited to get to the groomers. He actually enjoys going and the closer he gets to it, the faster he walks until he breaks into a run on the last block. Here he’s waiting for the light to turn green so he can cross the street. He can barely contain himself and will start “talking” (not barking) as if to say “I want to go, I don’t want to wait.” Upper West Side, NYC.

Charley visits Morningside Park. Charley visited Morningside Park for the first time. The weather was cool, damp and cloudy and there weren’t very many people in the park. But since he’d never been there before, he had a wonderful time exploring and he met several people and a friendly Cockapoo named Molly. He made note of the dog run for a future visit and investigated the pond where he saw ducks swimming. He discovered a series of steps which he had fun running up and down. When he reached the very top of all the steps, he rested on a nearby bench. Afterwards, he walked back to the subway station and took the train home. He had a very nice time and looks forward to returning on a sunny day.
