Charley visited an outdoor holiday market before Christmas. There were many vendors selling all types of gifts. And there very many people shopping for gifts. He was very excited by all the activity and had a wonderful time.

Charley helped with some last-minute gift shopping. He was super good and stayed where I could see him and didn’t wander off. He followed when I went to different parts of the store. Some shoppers approached him to say hello and talk to him. He listened politely, but did not answer back. This is a very dog-friendly store — the doorman even held the door open for Charley to enter.

Charley had his annual examination with Dr. Cloudman and she said he is in very good health. Because of his age (6.5), she performed blood work to establish a baseline for future reference. She called the following day to say his blood tests all came back great. She said his weight was very good (16.5 pounds) for his size. His teeth are good with just a little tartar in the back. He had a small skin infection underneath, so am using a topical spray which should clear it up in a week. He was very excited to be there and was very eager to see the doctor. In the waiting room, he enjoyed meeting the other dogs and people. After his appointment, he visited a pet shop next door and Gray’s Papaya for a small taste of a hot dog.
